I needed to come here to tell you something that you’ve heard and read many times before and, as many other people did (including myself), you probably forgot about it at some point of your busy days and nights. This is probably the most important post I’ve ever done (this year).
“Only your mind will set you free”
This simple. As obvious as ephemeral. Sometimes we just need to remember ourselves that only our knowledge and the use of it can help us to be or do better.
Someone asked me how do I do to seem happy and energetic most of my days. After thinking about it, I realised that I’m simple. I try (try everyday) to follow simple and natural… actions or mind habits. Here are some of them:
Listen, listen to as many people as you can and keep as much as what they say but specially take that and empathise with them. (Don’t worry, we’ve all disconnected in some conversations – and it’s fine!)
Read, learn new words or just read and don’t judge yourself for picking always the same genre.
Cry if you need it and laugh when you feel it (Obs! and you still need to read it to realise is freaking true!?).
STOP. Don’t be over dramatic. Really, things will happen anyway why do you like to add extra drama? Stop and think if that drama is real or fake. And if you don’t need it get rid of it.
Be honest. With yourself (this is essential if you want to be able to empathise with other people) and anyone around you. This is necessary.
